Cas announces date for Royal AM case

Royal AM will probably know their fate before the end of March regarding their battle to get the decision that installed Sekhukhune United as GladAfrica Championship winners.

The KwaZulu-Natal club, owned by flamboyant businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, was overtaken at the top of the first division by Sekhukhune after an arbiter ruled in their favor and awarded them three points in a separate case.

This meant that Sekhukhune finished above the boys of the MaMkhize and automatically qualified for the DStv Premiership. But MaMkhize said he would challenge the decision in the highest court available to her, saying it was unjust and the arbitrator’s ruling was unprecedented.

And now, according to Sunday World a date has been announced for the hearing of Royal AM’s case by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) in Switzerland. The hearing will take place on March 3rd and will take place virtually.

A source at Royal AM said the club is confident Cas will rule in their favor and reverse Hilton Epstein’s ruling.

However, Royal AM got the desire to play top football when they bought the status of Bloemfontein Celtic. They then sold their first division status to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

Speaking to Phakaaathi last year, Royal AM CEO Sinky Mnisi said they have an agreement with TTM that if they win the case, they should add more money for the status because it would give it Premiership status. to be.
