The Twitter timeline was flooded on Wednesday morning with celebrities and media personalities posting heartbroken emojis, leaving others wondering what all the heartbreak was about.
At the same time as the mass posting of contextualized hearts happened, rapper Riky Rick started trending after rumors of his death started circulating.
Venda pop star Makhadzi immediately posted and deleted a photo of Riky Rick along with broken hearts as musician DJ Franky quoted Riky Rick‘s most recent tweet “Not like this Makhado” along with heartbreak.
“None of us believe what we’ve just been told. It is extremely confusing and heartbreaking. It makes no sense,” Franky added.
On Wednesday morning at 3.20 am, Riky Rick tweeted the lyrics of his song Home.
‘I will return a stronger man. This country is still my home.”
Many found the news eerie given the context of Wednesday morning’s rumours.
