The medics of the Provincial Ambulance Service have pronounced the 44-year-old man dead on the scene†
“The victim was found on the road. His clothes were drenched in blood,” the Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) said when they arrived at the scene.
Rusa added that the deceased suffered multiple stab wounds and he succumbed to the injuries. The motive for the murder is not yet known.
This incident follows another stabbing incident at KZN in which a 15-year-old boy stood outside his school in Pinetown on Friday afternoon.
The boy would have to fight for his life in the hospital. Ambulance personnel found the boy in critical condition with a stab wound to his abdomen.
“It is alleged that at approximately 2:45 PM on March 4, 2022, a 16-year-old man had an altercation with a 15-year-old boy at 5th Avenue, Ashley, Pinetown.
The 16-year-old allegedly stabbed the 15-year-old in the stomach after a verbal altercation. The 15-year-old then fell to the ground. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died,” Gwala said.
The 16-year-old has been arrested and is being held at the police station. The KZN police confiscated the used knife.
In January, police in Limpopo arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly stabbing a 34-year-old woman in the village of Tshakhuma Diambele.
Her son, also 15, returning home from school then found the 34-year-old identified as Phathutshedzo Nemalumani.
The suspect, who is said to be a friend of the son and who was still in the house, then started to chase the son out of the property.
Neighbors called the police and the suspect was arrested.
