MG reveals ‘brand new’ electric car teaser in Q4 this year: Watch video

MG Motor has teased a new electric car that will launch in the fourth quarter this year. However, the company has not revealed an official name or overall design, but has released a teaser video. The new electric car is expected to be cheaper than the MG ZS EV. MG is expected to call the new EV MG 4. The new electric car will be built for the European market, the company said in a statement. MG has revealed that the car will be 4,300mm long. This is the only statistic provided on the car. Another key highlight in the company’s statement is that the electric car will be promoted with the tag #MGElectricforAll. In a tweet, MG Motors said: “A brand new 100% electric car from MG will make its UK premiere in the fourth quarter this year. The vehicle measures 4,300mm in length and has been developed with the UK consumer in mind. Take a ​​a taste of this beauty and stay tuned.”

In the teaser, MG revealed some of the visual elements of the car. From the silhouette, we can be sure that it is a small SUV or a hatchback. Given the huge side trim, it will most likely be an SUV. The tires will be 17-inch alloys. The large wheel arches and strong shoulder lines also refer to an SUV.

At the rear, MG didn’t let go of anything at all. We could see the taillights. MG 4 will use slim taillights that go almost through the entire tailgate. The ORVMs come with a piano black finish. Also the presence of a camera on the ORVM shows that it will have a 360 degree view.
