The South African Air Force (SAAF) is the second oldest in the world and has a proud record of honors, including fighting the Nazis in World War II and then for the United Nations in the Korean War in the 1950s. While it was a pillar of South Africa’s military capabilities in Namibia and Angola in the 1980s, it has since made a significant contribution to a democratic South Africa and the nations around us.
