“There was a meeting. The parties that protested were Royal AM, the PSL and Sekhukhune United and we will get the outcome on April 29,” Mathang-Tshabuse told Sunday World.
“If it is deemed appropriate at the preliminary hearing and findings, Royal AM has the right to come before Cas and if C says they have jurisdiction then they will give us a date when the main case is to be heard.
“There is no merit to them” [Royal AM’s] case. The case has been brought to all courts in the country. So, whether it be the preliminary issues or the main merit, I can say with respect that there is little to no prospect of them winning the case,” she added.
Royal AM went to the highest sports court because they believe they are the deserved winners of last season’s GladAfrica Championship. Sekhukune was crowned in place of MaMkhize’s team after being awarded points by an arbiter after winning their grievances against Polokwane City, who failed to place the required number of players under 23 in their game.
