Former spy boss Arthur Fraser lied about his qualifications

Former intelligence chief Arthur Fraser does not have a degree from the University of London, as stated on his resume.

Fraser was the commissioner of the Department of Correctional Services until 2021, when his contract expired.

He was State Security Service (SSA) director general before being transferred to correctional services in 2018, following scathing corruption charges against him in running the domestic intelligence division.

At least seven cases of typhoid are confirmed in Gauteng between December 2021 and February, the metro confirmed on Friday.

Mark Oppenheimer has been the subject of countless memes and posts because he appears to be a copy of Jan Van Riebeeck.

A person suffered severe burns after an explosion sparked a house fire in Florida, Roodepoort, on Saturday.

Roodepoort Record reports the injured man was throwing a birthday party for his daughter when the fire broke out at his home.

Eyewitnesses said the party was drawing to a close and while parents were collecting their children, a large explosion could be heard from inside the house.
