This new WhatsApp feature changes how the app looks when you call

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that will change its appearance when you call. This includes a new waveform animation that was previously leaked. The feature was seen in development, but now the instant messaging application is rolling it out to Android beta testers. The new user interface was noticed by WABetaInfo, a website who follows the latter whatsapp features are rolling out to beta testers. The report suggests that the new update will be rolled out in Android 2.22.5.4 version. However, not all iOS users have received the feature. What happens when the new WhatsApp feature rolls out:

The new WhatsApp feature redesigns the user interface of a group conversation. It even changes the user interface when the user makes a simple voice call. The website shared a screenshot of the user interface. Also read – WhatsApp brings a Facebook-like feature to business accounts

The screenshot shows three people in a voice call. All of these three windows have waveform animation. This allows participants to see who is chatting in real time. The waveform will also be in different colors to make recognition easier. Below the windows, the app uses a pop-up window to house the end call button. It will also include the Mute button and hands-free option.

WhatsApp new feature for business accounts

The WhatsApp Business accounts are also getting a fresh look. The instant messaging application will soon include a feature from its parent company, Facebook. WhatsApp allows business accounts to add their cover photo to their contact page. This gives a new look to their entire page and also becomes an easy way to broadcast some basic affirmation.

This feature introduces a degree of synergy between the subsidiary and parent company (Facebook). Cover photos are used as large banners behind profile photos. This introduces a new aspect of personalization within the otherwise text-heavy interface.
