According to Deadline, the live-action Resident Evil series on Netflix was cancelled after the first season.
The action-horror series based on the well-known video games from Capcom won't be getting a second season from the streaming service.
"It simply doesn't stick the landing at all in its attempt to win over both newbies and devoted followers.
For seasoned gamers, the references to memorable game moments are interesting, but they merely serve to confuse novices to the series.
Veterans will, however, leave this feeling disheartened and, to be honest, bewildered because the programme insists on deviating from the overarching plot of the games."
It's not the first time that a live-action Netflix adaptation of a well-liked series has been cancelled after one season, and it probably won't be the last either.
