WhatsApp is probably working on a lot of useful features: here’s the list

WhatsApp continues to add new features or improve existing ones to improve the user experience. Meta’s cross-platform is said to be currently working on a feature that would allow for pausing and resuming audio while recording voice memos. According to reports, the feature has already been rolled out to beta testers on Android. WABetaInfothe fiery one whatsapp tracker revealed that the app is adding the pause or resume voice recording feature to the latest Android beta version 2.22.6.7. While the feature only allows you to stop recording a voice note, the update will supposedly extend the functionality and allow pausing a voice note in the middle of recording, resume by tapping the microphone icon in the center when that is necessary. “If you don’t see the new pause and resume feature while recording voice memos, it means that your WhatsApp account is not ready yet. In this case, you will receive the feature when a future update is released, as WhatsApp is used to it to release it every day,” the outlet reports. This aside, the messages app has also been spotted testing some other features that are expected to roll out in the coming days. According to reports, WhatsApp may soon have a new Communities section that will replace the camera section of the app. The platform is also said to be working on a feature that will allow users to create links to participate in conversations on WhatsApp. New voice call interface, photo preview, shared videos, search shortcut in contact details section are some of the features that are expected to appear in the app soon. While WhatsApp has been quite hesitant about the new features, beta updates seem to indicate that the features should be rolled out to the public after the fixes.
